33. They run polls regularly in the local papers all owned by the

Republican Nutting family. The polls always come out about two to one against our side. They had one a couple days ago in one of their rags from WV asking if you favor the Buffet Rule and sure enough about 60% were against it. In a city that looks like bombed out Baghdad where it takes half the population to make a full set of teeth they don't want millionaires to pay a fair share of taxes. Of course we are not all rednecks but not everyone in the south is either. Actually this was a Democratic stronghold until Obama showed up.

And the primary reason that people from home are so conservative is that they have been lied to about who caused the collapse of the U.S. Steel Industry, as well as all of our other problems. Between that, Fox News the local Ogden Newspapers rag in Wheeling, and the fact that people who currently live in the Valley are generally not well-educated, you have a situation ripe for the Rightists to exploit for votes and sympathy.
