CNN: There is not credible threat (from ISIS) against Americans?

I saw a blurb on CNN that said basically that this morning when I was at the gym. They were saying the President would have a difficult time justifying more troops, etc., and mentioned something about not being like 911.

I'm not saying that that a threat justifies a president doing whatever the hell he wants to do, but has anyone at CNN interviewed an ambassador in the Middle East about the "credible threat" against American teachers there?

Many people's lives and pretty much all politics right now are simply reflections of the manipulation of the media.

The GOP will generate some new fear for the American people heading into the 2016 elections.

I'm not trying to "generate fear", but there is a credible threat against Americans and my brother is one of them.

6. Perhaps your brother and other US/Western Civilians should leave the ME.

I appreciate that your brother probably made some great sacrifices to go teach in the ME.

If the threat is so credible then the proper thing to do is evacuate. Not stay and allow yourself to be a target.

13. Yes they should leave. We have Embassies and Consulates to assist US Citizens w/ these problems.

I'm not sure how difficult it is to get an Exit Visa but if I felt my life were so endangered I sure be trying to get one. I'd be at the nearest US Consulate or the Embassy asking for help.

we were "losing" (three months into campaign), and now that we're sending in more advisors and intel guys to go on offensive and try to do things like retake Mosul, they're saying "this war is illegal!!" (Randy Paul) and downplaying the threat. No matter what, Obama and his cabinet will not be seen to succeed.

11. I assume they meant no credible threat against the US, not Americans in the region.

Any American in the region who doesn't assume he is under threat hasn't been paying attention.
