Master satirist Ken Finkleman, aka George Findlay, skewers right-wing news on Good God

Source: Montreal Gazette

After a slight detour last year with the TV series Good Dog, George Findlay is back where he belongs: creating havoc at a Canadian TV network. Findlay remains the same incorrigible, obsessive, vain and self-absorbed soul. But not his TV network.

Unlike his last TV employer on The Newsroom - a CBC-type operation - Findlay has landed on the aptly named Right TV, a Canuck version of the Fox News channel, in his latest incarnation, Good God, which debuts April 9 on The Movie Network.

Findlay is the alter ego of Ken Finkleman, Canada's answer to Larry David. Or is it the other way around, since The Newsroom predates David's Curb Your Enthusiasm? No matter, Finkleman, like the latter, is one master satirist.

Much the way he skewered a mainstream TV operation late last century and the beginning of this one and bit the hand that fed him) - CBC aired The Newsroom - Finkleman has his way with the holy rollers on the right in Good God.

Can you say Sun News?
