Today We Honor Vets - Yet The Most Pride Possession For Which They Fight For Is Being Denied....

the right of every American to vote.

Just look at all the voter suppression that the Republican Party initiated and carried out in this country during the most recent elections last week.

I am not a vet - but if I was - I would be very angry that I risked my life and limb - only to find out that the very thing I fought for was being denied my fellow Americans.

Today we should all stop and take time from whatever we are doing to honor the veterans that went to fight for that privilege and all those future veterans that are currently serving our country to fight for that same right.

We should remind anyone that we encounter today - what went on in last weeks elections - and how the Republican Party is behind all the efforts to organize and initiate 'Voter Suppression' in any shape or form.

All Americans should be able to carry out that duty to vote and elect the people that represent us and have a say in sending our children into wars.

The Republican Party should be embarrassed by their treasonous actions. They talk the talk of patriotism - yet every chance they get they try to steal the very core of which this government of the people, by the people and for the people was formed to accomplish.

Today we just don't honor vets of WWII - we honor veterans that served in the military whether they fought in a war or not - they served and now future veterans serve our country to protect us and to preserve our republic and our freedoms. That includes our ability to be able to vote and elect our governments servants.

It is a dishonor to all these veterans and future veterans to take away the right to vote from the People which they fought for, are fighting for and will fight for.
