Image Entertainment is releasing the 41-DVD The Twilight Zone: The 5th Dimension Limited Edition Box Set on November 11, 2014, for an SRP of $349.98. For the first time ever, Rod Serlings groundbreaking original series (1959-1964) and the classic 1980s series (1985-1989) are together in one limited edition box set. Only 7,500 sets were created.

(3,469 posts)Willoughby and Time Enough At Last (I think that was the name.) Those two just kill me.
I also love the one with Billy Mummy as Anthony but mainly because my husband and I say a couple of lines from that one to each other all the time.

(55,745 posts)That collection represents an extraordinary body of work. Mr. Serling also wrote the screenplay for "Seven Days in May" and "Carol for Another Christmas" and other works. He understood the power of ideas.

(4,858 posts)...he adapted a number of classic stories of the field, including "It's a *Good* Life", "What You Need", "The Veldt", and several others. He also, unfortunately, had a lot of second-rate episodes with tomato-surprise endings that any SF editor sees every day in the slush pile--even, God help us, the "Adam-and-Eve-were-astronauts" ending. So: a mixed bag. But any TV show deserves to be judged on its best shows, and by that standard, *The Twilight Zone* was very good indeed...
