Listening to NPR tonight, 2 stories indirectly demonstrated the govt working.

Neither story was meant to brag about the govt.

The first story I caught halfway, it was about Arizona wildfires and how cell tower unavailability led to delays and difficulties for first responders. The feds were coming to the rescue with 7 million in funding to coordinate first responder communications and provide cell towers in areas that are not going to provide a profit for the cell providers. Libertarians, I guess, would let private property burn.

The second story was about crab fishing accidents, which claimed about 80 lives in a decade. NIOSH got involved, gathered information, provided guidance and some ****HORROR**** regulations, and the next decade only 12 lives were lost. I guess libertarians would rather have unregulated free market continue to kill 70 crab fishermen over each decade.
