Inevitability is to Third Way Politics as Austerity is to Disaster Capitalism

They are the same scenario: leadership screws up; they are rewarded, while the rank and file are informed they must endure all the hardship and trust the screw-ups to fix things.

When the bankers screwed us all in 2008, the corpo-Dem remedy was to make them whole while imposing austerity on the 99%. In 2014, the abject failure of the corpo-Dem leadership created a political disaster. The proposed remedy from the corpo-Dems/Blue Dogs is for the liberals, who have been right more often than wrong, to stop criticizing, rally around HRC, and move even further to the right.

With no facts at all, liberals are being blamed for the election disaster, blamed for low turnout. With no facts at all, HRC is proclaimed as "inevitable". This is political "shock doctrine". Although it might seem like progressives vs. centrists, its really about the super-rich vs everyone else. The liberal wing, reeling from an avoidable disaster, is told to swallow HRC's corporatist melding of neoliberal economic policies and neoconservative warmongering, with a vague whiff of "the Family"s creepy fundamentalism. Two of the 1%'s favorite ideologies for the price of one - neither of them of any use to the 99%.

HRC in 2016 would be Martha Coakley squared. Trust me. I just voted for Coakley, and Hillary would be deja vu all over again. A proven loser, with high negatives and a minimal connection to the electorate, plus more baggage than a 747 - what could possibly go wrong?

Worth logging in to rec

Creepy fundamentalism.
Creepy corporatism.
Creepy warmongering
Creepy sociopathy.
Creepy predation.

All backed up with a creepy, lying, nasty, shameless propaganda machine, populated by morally bankrupt shills.

These vipers are a menace to democracy, to human life.

Enough is enough.

Hillary would serve to mobilize vast numbers of right-wing nut jobs, and Republicans. They view her as the Anti-Christ. The harbinger of Armageddon.

Then, the Turd Way can blame their defeat on "liberals" again for not voting, and justify moving further to the right again and again.

Bernie has the solution to fix most of our problems, getting rid of campaign contributions and having Publicly Funded Elections. This would break the control that the Plutocracy has over our government. It would have a positive effect across the board.
For those that say we must not split the ticket and thus lose to Republicans, I agree! Don't vote for Hillary, vote for Bernie! We must support Bernie like no other politician before though, because unlike Hillary, he won't be getting huge campaign donations from Wall Street, MIC, Big Pharma... He won't run unless he sees he can raise enough money to have a shot. Hillary is controlled by big money interests, do we want that again?

But I always felt reality should be the center. The only reason the center gets distorted is because of corporate interference. The only ones to blame for that are those vested in expanding that interference.

investment bankers, is what amuses me most. Specially since the exact same people, for years now, have been railing against libertarians on this board. So the truth comes out, some people here have no problems with libertarians as long as they are OUR libertarians.

This is what happens when you listen to people that put profit above principles and party. This is why the economy is so fucked for the working class and so easy for the wealthy.

If you want to keep Trickle Down economics, the you support the Third Way's economic policy. All the crybaby distraction in the world doesn't change that fact.
