After WWll up until the 70s, thanks quite a bit to FDR and LBJ social programs and the union movement helping raise the wage scale for everyone — non-union shops as well, the middle and working classes shared in the tremendous wealth their work produced with well-deserved wage increases.

Then St. Ronnie and the repug greedies, determined to roll back the progress of the FDR/LBJ social programs and unions, came up with the make-believe, mana-from-heaven "trickle down" theory, along with union busting, and the rest is history.

And now that we look back on it we see it was just a brief moment in history. Except for the dot.com boom of the Clinton years it's been downhill since then as the repugs seem determined to have us all fighting for low-paying jobs that service the rich.

And they've got a majority — and frankly, I hate to say it, a majority of white men — fooled into voting for them.

We're in a sad state, we've been bouncing back and forth in election cycles between giving repugs carte blanche and watching them screw up the economy because of their policies that favor the rich (look back in history, depressions and recessions happen in repug administrations), then we vote in Dems who fix the economy but alienate the rich who then fool enough low-info voters to get back in power.

That vicious cycle is ended now as the repugs have Citizens United, which will end the yo-yo of back and forth power. It's gonna be all repugs all the time now until we get the unlimited dark money out of the equation.

2012 and 2014 were trial runs, now the repug toadies like Rove know how to really use the money. I fear for the country in 2016.

Certainly not me. Hey, they won the election and can set out on an even more devastating-for-America course than they had before the mid-terms. We know it's going to be at least two years of tyranny, the likes of which will make any congress before them appear moderate and just. There's going to be hell to pay and people are going to be trampled. We'll just have to put up with it, because as a whole, those who will soon be in more of these types of pictures didn't care enough to let their voices be heard.

I won't shed a tear. In fact, I'm just going to chuckle and point at their misery. See? We tried our best to warn you, to motivate you. And yet you chose to stay home in mass. Things could have been different if you had voted your interests. But now we'll never know.

I remember the slums and the "coloreds only" crap and I have been concerned that all this is making a comeback. Now it's looking like a sure thing, full scream ahead.

Millions of people live in the African jungle, almost all of them black. Yet who do they call "Lord of the Jungle?" The one white guy. Do you think there might be a hint of racism behind that story?

even worse than these dust bowl, depression and segregation era photos depict. Much worse. Governor nixon(D) types with their cohort governors(R) types have their national guard troops ready to shoot people down like Kent State.....guaranteed.
