A 38-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were seriously injured early Thursday when a cat attacked them in an Omaha apartment.
Reports to Douglas County emergency 911 dispatchers indicated that the attack occurred around 4:10 a.m. in an apartment near South 32nd and Pacific Streets.
Both of the injured were taken in serious condition to Nebraska Medical Center.
Rescue squad personnel reported to dispatchers that the man was bitten and clawed on his hands and legs.
The woman suffered a laceration to a foot and an arm was clawed, reports said.

TBH, I wouldn't want to be attacked by a cat. They are sharp and pointy on 5 ends and move so fast it would be hard to defend yourself.

Probably something to do with the deep-brain parasitical control of cat owners. They become lethargic and tolerant and... what's the word? domesticated. Not the cats, the owners.

Or the kitteh sneaked up on them when they were on the top of the stairs and tripped them and they fell all the way down and broke their necks. They can be ruthless and calculating killers. And be careful with the catnip. Cats under the influence have been known to become so violent that it required 8 police officers to subdue them.

(931 posts)She continues to be a cat person to this day, as am I, and she still has said cat and cares for it and they seem to get along, but I've been a bit more careful since then.
Another friend of mine had her cat continuously trying trying to attack her baby. She quickly had her mother adopt the cat, but it eventually had to be put down. It went not only after the chickens (understandable, I guess) but eventually started attacking the sheep (less understandable). No, no rabies or anything like that. Just a cat with wires crossed. Or really, really going deep as far as heritage goes.
Someone once said that being attacked by a panther is like being attacked by four guys with chainsaws... A miniature panther can also cause a lot of damage, I guess.
