(4,238 posts)it doesn't bode well for us that we have no one younger who fits that progressive profile. We're supposed to be the party of the young and educated, as opposed to the old white folks party who we've been told for years are "dying off."

(78,249 posts)You must be thinking of the guy who dated Linda Ronstadt back in the '70s. Today's Jerry Brown balanced the budget mess he inherited from Ahh-nuld largely on the backs of the poor, slashing Medi-Cal (Medicaid), CalWORKS (welfare-to-work), and other social safety net programs to the bone.

There's no "besides his age" here. He's an amazing man from the wrong generation for what we need.
