So helping push Keystone for GOP will get more Dems to polls in Louisiana?

Did they learn nothing from last week???

Seriously - even if she does win and I doubt it given that Dem turnout would be lower without Democratic leadership flipping of its base again, let alone with them screwing us.... how will this change the Senate?

Will she get us to 50 votes. Nope.

We get nothing. Nothing. And add to that, we can't even get anything for the damn pipeline.

What crap.

It is becoming less economically feasible every day. As the price of oil drops, the high cost of extracting should stop oil companies for the near future.

It went down about $2.88 today, last time I looked, and is now about $74.30 a barrel. Some say it will go even lower, and right now it's low enough that they are talking about not drilling any new wells up in Canada because of the high cost of getting it out of the ground.

One might be tempted to say the Dems are sacrificing their Enviro-Cred for a dead candidate walking but the fact remains the party base isn't going anywhere and the PTB know it. As soon as 2016 rolls around the inevitable rallying cry will be given -- and heeded.

This is a play for Middle America to lessen a cudgel the GOP has successfully wielded for some time now.

what do we gain?

Maybe a senate seat? MAYBE? Again, we're depending on turnout for a runoff and the added push is Keystone.
Even if Democrats in LA are more supportive of it. I don't see it helping much.

And again, at the end of the day, it's for one seat that won't change the major dynamic of the Senate.

Keystone IS going to happen, so let's get something out of it.

worth voting on. Perhaps you should forward your link to Sen. Landrieu and suggest she recommend the vote on her behalf be cancelled.
