Black Friday Insanity: Two Women Line Up At Best Buy 22 Days Early

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/11/13/black-friday-insanity-two-women-line-up-at-best-buy-22-days-early-videotweets/

Vicky Torres and Juanita Salas have set up camp outside of the Beaumont Best Buy in California a mind-boggling 22 days before Black Friday. At least one of the two women will be on site, 24/7, preserving their place in line until Best Buy’s Black Friday sale begins.

Torres spoke with The Banning-Beaumont Patch on Friday,

“We could have started later, but then we wouldn’t be sure to get first in line,” Torres said as she and Salas sat under the hot sun in front of the electronics store. “They only get a few items at the cheaper prices and it’s first come, first served.”...

“The point is to get the sales, because everybody is on a fixed income and we don’t have that kind of money to splurge.”

The Inland Empire, the area of SoCal where this is taking place, has a much higher unemployment rate than the rest of the state.

I just don't get it. I hate shopping anyway, but to cut short my holiday, line up with hundreds of others to rush the doors at opening time to enter a shopping frenzy sounds like my idea of hell.
