I accidentally opened a junk mail and now every page on my browser has an ad for ESPN's website. It won't let me X out of it and stays on even after I click on it. Any suggestions? I plan to upgrade to the 6 but want to wait until I've paid off some bills. Thanks.

OP
I've heard Apple products are impervious to viruses, especially iPads and iPhones.

Close all of your browser windows and shut it off.
That cleared it up

Power button and circle button at the same time, until the screen goes blank and then the apple shows up.

(25,406 posts)6. Try going to Settings->Privacy->Advertising,
then turn on "Limit Ad Tracking" if it is not on already. Then click "Reset Advertising Identifier".
In Settings->Safari, make sure that "Do Not Track" is turned on and that "Block Cookies" is not set to "Always Allow".
Then power down and power back up, and see if that helps.
