I was just reading the online version of ...

the daily rag where I used to live.

They did an editorial on President Obama's announced Executive Action. It starts with:

President Barack Obama is right about one thing: Immigration reform is overdue. In another context, he'd also be right to focus federal enforcement resources on those seeking to cross the border illegally or who pose criminal and national security threats. Easing the ability of foreign entrepreneurs and highly skilled workers to deploy their abilities -- and money -- in the United States also makes sense.

What doesn't make sense -- and could be damaging -- is the highly charged partisanship of the sweeping unilateral immigration policies Obama outlined to the nation Thursday night.

And goes down hill from there.

This was not at all surprising. What is surprising is the comments following the editorial. Having followed the comments section for a long time, I fully expected it to be completely over-run by the tea-party conservatives ... instead (at this point) the weight of the comments are like, "Are you kidding?"
