KMOV.com) The pastor of a church that is only blocks from where Michael Brown was shot and killed said he has received 71 threats since the shooting.
Pastor Carlton Lee said threats are mailed to the church or left on the door. Lee said people have threatened to kill him or burn his church with everyone inside. Lee believes he is a target because he has been protesting against police brutality.
As Michael Brown, Sr. being a part of my church, we are evermore committed to the situation not just because they are family to us but because there are injustices going on all over the country, Lee said."
*It motivates me in a way that you cant even imagine, Lee said. Most people would probably back down from it, but Im not going to back down. In fact, it makes me go even harder because I know this is what Im called to do and this goes with the territory.
Lee said he will be with the Brown family the day the Grand Jury decision is announced. After that, he says he plans to peacefully protest for change."

(3,183 posts)What is wrong with some people? Hate such as this is not healthy and has to be eating these people up from the inside. I don't understand it.

(13,390 posts)But, "American History X" was instructive for me. The thing that seemed to motivate the main character was a mix of spite, bitterness, pity, etc. a mangled together. With a target you see that kind of disgusting behavior.
