Maybe it's time for them to take up another hobby, like gardening, or badminton.

(4,522 posts)that war on divorce? Most of the people I know who complain about marriage equality have been married more than twice. I think they are jealous someone found happiness and can make a relationship work.

(8,224 posts)I would recommend that they stop recognizing all marriage licenses from states that issue to same gender couples. They should do this regardless of whether couple is same or mixed gender. Of course, they won't.
(Quakers, back in the day, always wore plain gray clothes because some of the dye was made with slave labor)
In short, if they really think it is wrong, they should refuse to participate, and bear whatever the consequences are. (irrelevancy comes to mind)
I am looking forward to our first same gender wedding, (in FL). Meeting has been ready for years, and we have a number of couples in waiting for a license. Some have traveled to states where licenses are issued equally, others seem to be waiting for the courts so they can be married at home.
