They put themselves in this corner. But now that were here, what would you have them do? Be prepared or be unprepared? Seeing the LA riots in the early 90's after the rodney king verdict, I actually would rather the cops be prepared and not let it get to that level.

When heads cool off (no matter what the verdict is), Obama should do SOMETHING to fix the totally stupid amount of police corruption and brutality that is currently present at the local level. This kind of goes against some of my personal beliefs regarding federal vs. state/local power. But christ, local cops are freaking out of control and no local government is doing a damn thing about it. They put themselves in that corner as well. Let Obama fire every police chief who had a cop beat or kill an unnarmed individual, but didn't pursue it as a criminal case. That would be a good start.
