A source close to Darren Wilson told CNN's Don Lemon that the officer's representatives -- through a process of deduction -- have determined that there will be no indictment. At this point, if there was going to be an indictment, Wilson would have been asked to surrender, the source said late Monday.

(693 posts)In some jurisdictions, indicted often required to surrender before grand jury verdict unsealed.
Of course this whole case has been handled so differently ....

(31,849 posts)But my experience has it that defendants are required/asked to surrender after indictments are unsealed ... unless there is a substantial risk of flight.
But you are correct ... this whole case has been handled "so differently."

(27,787 posts)If they don't want the verdict to be known until 9pm est, they wouldn't do anything to tip folks off one way or the other before hand.
