I don't have sympathy for people who are mad at the government and choose not to vote. They get the government they deserve.

You hate both parties, then vote 3rd party. At least vote for something. But if you stay home and intentionally not vote at all...then don't complain when the government does something you don't like.

We have horrible voter participation rates compared to other modern democracies in the world. It's not all due to voter suppression though. Some of it is, but not most of it. Some people are simply completely removed from the political process of this country. They don't have interest in it.

I blame a lot of it on education. We don't teach very good civics, history, or social studies anymore. Vast majority of Americans would easily fail a high school exam on American history and government.

But I also think a lot of people are simply sick and tired of partisan politics. Our politics in this country is quite ugly and campaigns become negative very quickly.

If people dont vote, then their voice isnt heard. Every president only has support in votes from about 25% of adults.

I don't think that denial is a winning strategy for the next election.

That there is some vast power causing massive disenfranchisement. Gallup shows that the stats during election were approx 47% R vs. 41% D including the leanings of the independents.

We need to convince the independents to vote our way. Preaching to the choir in an echo chamber while claiming that the election was somehow stolen will not do that.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

decided what happens to 100% of the country. It's pathetic that more people don't bother to cast a ballot. There were plenty of issues and distinct differences between each of the candidates running, so...what gives?
