Why is anyone surprised at the anger

Being shown about the verdict not to charge? Anyone? They closed the schools, they boarded up the buildings, they EXPECTED something, yet..ohhhhh people are so angry.....?????? Did they think people would say oh well and just go home?

I had to bug out after a minute of scanning the comments after wanting to rip off my skin out of anger, grief and mortification.

It's not okay that a policeman shot an unarmed person 12 times. It's not okay that the darker the color of your skin, the higher the odds are that you will be gunned down by someone who is wearing a lighter skin and that person will never face the consequences. It's not okay that people who have never experienced generations of suffocating oppression, and in fact, wear the same skin as the oppressors are making smug and self-righteous observations about something they have no fucking clue about. They truly believe they have the right to tell the people in Ferguson and those who've experienced the soul-piercing effects of discrimination and racism how to feel and behave after yet another slap in the face.
