Tyranny in Ferguson

I have heard from enough white people that we are living under tyranny because Obama is going to take away their guns so they stock up to the hilt. They envision their own civil war against imaginary enemies.

African Americans in Ferguson are living under real tyranny. What else are they to take away from this except that it is hopeless for them. The corrupt police department and prosecutors office secured their power with this decision. What happens on the street as a result of this is what they caused. Frustration will result in property damage and I do not blame the citizens who do it.

Civil Rights, anti war, peace protests. They all spoke against a government stepping on a part of society that decided to fight back with the only tools they were left with.
Anti-Establishment. The term grew out of the fight against oppression.
A big F U to government control.

Could the same group who fought against what those 3 men stood for in our society, have emerged again now, only more powerful than then?
Are we still dealing with the same form of government that wish to be in power back then? The same one that murdered the Kennedys & MLKing..that ordered the killing at Kent State?
Who are they?
This is crazy frightening..and tonight is anyones guess where it all ends up.

..government system similar to what we are seeing today with the Capitalistic Control ?
Hard to put my finger on exactly what the starting point was, then, but there is a familiarity going on here & govt control & oppression of its people began that revolution also.
Can you add to this at all?
Is this a repeat in our lifetime??
Aay!

or probably a rollback. Government/corporations are exerting control over many of the issues of that time.
Peace? - no, constant war.
Women's rights? - get permission from you employer about birth control
Civil rights? - we just saw how a city extorts their budgets from their black population and the police are free to kill unarmed black citizens.

The way I saw it, the starting point back then was the fact that the civil rights workers were organized and prepared to take action after acts of oppression. Rosa Parks did work for a civil rights group so that group and others were ready to go., People challenged segregation by sitting at whites only lunch counters, trying to attend white schools and the groups were ready to stand behind those people and expose the reaction from white power structures. They brought it to the attention of the whole country.

Social media will be an added variable this time around.
Perhaps like then KT 2000, it will be the youth of the nation who will set things right. As we did.
This makes me weary.
Turn turn turn...to everything under heaven.
Peace..again

to everything there is a season.
So many young people seem to have matured beyond racism.
Yes - I hope they can stop the ignorance.
