As a cop, that is.
If he ever gets a job as a cop again, it'll most likely be in some tiny PD of a small town somewhere.

(2,256 posts)He will sell his rights to the story or have someone write a book about it. He's about to cash in on this.

(20,851 posts)If he has any brains at all he will likely grift the crap out of the GOP bigots. Those people don't like paying taxes but will give any grifter the keys to the mint if the grifter is any good. Hell even when the suck bad like Palin they still make out like bandits. Grifters got to grift.

(2,149 posts)He will have to look over his shoulder the rest of his days. Reminds me of George Zimmerman.

(359 posts)The man is set for life. Between the pay off to resign, book deal, stints as a talking head on Fox news, he will be rolling in the dough.

(34,825 posts)he'll do just fine.

(22,336 posts)sadly, there is enough racism in this country where he'll probably have no problem finding work - people will seek him out. He won't have to do regular work anymore. He'll get speaking engagements and things like that.

(103,856 posts)He could change his name quietly (his prosecutor buddy could help him), then load up their stuff and move to some very southern town, and he could have a long career as a Barney Fife-esque deputy...... as long as he keeps his weapon holstered..
dawg
(10,624 posts)I seriously doubt he would be able to do that. This guy never needs to be in any sort of position of authority ever again. And he certainly doesn't need to be carrying a gun.
SoCalDem
(103,856 posts)To many, he is a folk-hero, and will have no problem getting another job

(10,624 posts)Wilson *might* just be a guy who got terrified and flew into a rage and emptied his magazine into a guy who was no longer a threat. That's bad, and he's bad police, but things like that do happen. People are full of flaws, and some just aren't cut out to be good law enforcement.
On the other hand, the people who would make him into a folk hero have no excuses at all. They are vile, stupid, and most likely racists.
