1. So let me get this straight. According to Wilson, Brown had 'complete control'

of the gun, yet the only one who got shot was Brown? Is he trying to suggest Brown was suicidal?

I would suggest that if Brown had control of the gun, Brown would not have ended up shot.

3. is the accused normally allowed to present a defense before a grand jury?

i always thought the process was simply a prosecutor presenting that side of the story, and the grand jury deciding whether or not that case could reasonably result in a conviction at trial.

i always thought that only one side of the story was presented before a grand jury, and if they do choose to indict, then there's a normal trial at which both the prosecution and defense present their cases.

4. I think you're correct on what's 'normal'.

I don't think it's usual for prosecutors to present defense materials. That's usually left to the trial.

6. Everything about that process seemed to be questionable

So say the least.

Apparently, we're beginning to see what they had to do in order to get a desirable outcome. The corruption seems quite evident.

Thank you so much for saving me all the reading of finding it.
I don't even need to read the rest.
My question from the beginning was "when did the gun come out of the holster?"

In the reading I did do of this "story" (and let me tell you, if this was a book or a movie I would not even like this story), wilson was describing how he thought about what he should do. He apparently had time to think of and dismiss all of his non-lethal options. At that point it became manslaughter. When he reached for the gun it was murder.

9. His story makes no sense

I've been reading parts of the document dump. Wilson got to tell his side as the victim. The start of this at the police car doesn't make a lick of sense. The prosecution was not representing black citizens. It couldn't be clearer.
I was just talking to my daughter about my grandson. He's black. He doesn't look maybe white. He's a 10 year old black child. He is a tall kid but clearly a child. He's into scouts and got his whittling badge. My late husband was a scout and wanted me to give my grandson the whittling knife he had as a boy. It was his dad's knife. We're afraid to give my grandson anything that could look like a weapon. My son in law is worried he would take it out of the house or if he's going to a scout function he would take it with him.
White people don't think about being a young black male unless he's your grandson. It changed how you look at the way things work in this country.
