Pete Peterson Foundation starting the ads again.

Just this morning saw an ad from Pete, about how 'Now that the elections are over, it's time to' work on reducing the national debt, ie, it's *AUSTERITY* time again! Slash social programs, slash the safety net, let grandma die, all in the name of 'Fixing the Debt'.

Get ready to tighten that belt, folks, if you've even still got a belt to tighten.

Why does someone worth billions give two shits about SS? It won't affect him in any way because he could probably never blow enough of his fortune to ever need it to survive.

A) He sees a way to profit even more off whatever he can push through, and/or B) He hates the thought that poor people are actually supported by the government in their quest not to die early.

His opinion holds no weight with me and I would compel others to view his opinion with reasonable skepticism.

Then demand that tax rates for wealthy are restored to old values like 70%. In other words, instead of poor paying down the bills the rich ran up, the rich would actually have to pay down their own bills.

I wonder if you ask President Bernie his opinion, would you get a answer? Are they running on Fox and MSNBC simultaneously?

Don't know if it's running on Fox.

I'm sure Bernie has a position, and I'd be willing to bet it's anti-austerity. That seems like a question he would be happy to answer, since he's been speaking out against the plutocracy.
