Mark Twain and the white washing of the blue picket fence
Twelve shots were fired at Michael Brown and the man who did it isn't charged.
It really sounds like the Mark Twain story in which Twain describes a man being shot multiple times, stabbed, strangled, thrown from a building and other numerous acts but then the coroner rules it "death by natural causes."
The district attorney is a modern day Tom Sawyer. He razzle-dazzled the grand jury into whitewashing the picket fence of blue crime. The grand jury did his job, and let the killer off free. Hey, that's what DA's are paid to do. All the grand jury needed to know is the Michael Brown was unarmed, and was shot at twelve (TWELVE!) times. Hey, they could have charged Wilson with disturbing the peace. We didn't even get that.
Mark Twain was from the Show Me State and the jury, like last night's TV audience, was shown quite a show when the DA tried to razzle-dazzle us a-la Chicago the Broadway show.
Remember, where "Show Me" comes from. People from Missouri were so dumb that when they went to work in the Colorado mines, they responded to the boss' instructions with the phrase, "I'm from Missouri, you'll have to show me." Today's Missourians are bigger idiots than ever: Twelve shots at an unarmed man! WTF?
