Demons? Is this the new defense for officers looking to shoot minorities?

Why would any police department hire and arm someone who, when he/she sees an angry black person, sees a demon?

A second question, did the grand jury prosecutor act in a way that insured the jury would not, could not return a affirmative indictment. Is there an idea that the only people and property harmed by the consequent unrest wil be people of color? So why be concerned about justice?

It is clear that the system is not done with Wilson, yet imagine the calm that would have ensued had the prosecutor done his sworn duty to protect the public and allowed the justice system operate as it can and should.

That we are slowly approaching a catastrophic social split if in fact the justice system in this country acts as if there are racial distinctions to be made, devaluing minority lives in favor of indiscriminate execution of young black men because they "look like demons". If the justice system becomes a cloak of the KKK and in thrall to apartheid like values, what ultimately will be the reaction of the black community as a whole? That the nation isn't in a virtual war as if it were a Middle Eastern nation when one half can have no faith in the system in which they have to live is remarkable. How long can that last.

What hope can the rest of us have. This demon reference does ongoing damage to the fabric of our society. I suspect that 'demoness' is going to become a watch word in precincts everywhere, albeit quietly, under the breath with a wink and a nod. What could possibly go wrong with demon hunting by our police departments. Think of all the mileage the religious community can get out of this new demonization of young blackmen? The KKK will likely host a demon roast every summer, a new 21st century version of lynching. Darren Wilson certainly handed the the Republican Party a new call sign to rally around and Fox News will be wetting its pants scaring its antique viewership with demon alerts.

As I arsed myself to get on DU despite the haters, and post about this in a thread this morning...

Said on CNN this morning by one of their legal analysts, a former Assistant Director of the FBI:

"Officer Wilson talked about how (Mike Brown) looked like a demon... that may sound strange but having served many years on the street, I have seen that demonic face, many times... and if you don't believe me, you can see it for yourself on the convenience store video, just moments before he was shot!"

This is a former employee of the Justice Department speaking. No civil rights case, no literal demonization by the defendant here.

Describing The Others in such terms won't seem at all out of bounds for them.

to determine if someone meets criteria for a 72 hour hold. If someone said"when I look a young black men I see demons and it makes so upset I want to shoot one" I could get a judge to issue that detention order without saying anything else.
That's the biggest load of crap. Wilson has been lying his ass off and he has no remorse for what he did. I hope his life is ruined.
