St Louis Police are considering charging Michael Brown's stepfather for instigating a riot.

We've all seen him lose it after the announcement - and admittedly it was pretty bad - but charging him with instigating the riots?
Seriously? If anyone should be charged it should be McCullough for his timing of the announcement.
Not to mention that the Step-dad was in front of the police station when he had his outburst and the fires and the looting were happening simultaneously in downtown Ferguson.

I think we all know who is pushing for this. But only an idiot would go thru with this.
Right or wrong - the man was grieving ffs!

CNN reports that police are trying to determine whether Brown's stepfather, Louis Head, was attempting to incite a riot on Nov. 24 when he screamed "Burn this ---- down" to a crowd of protesters after St. Louis County prosecutor Robert McCulloch announced the grand jury's decision.

Jackson also told Fox News that charges against Head are possible.

"We are pursing those comments, and there is a lot of discussion going on about that right now," Jackson told Sean Hannity. "But I really can't get into that right now."

...to let the riots happen, and there is some indication that police participated in the destruction. This is all meant to keep things stirred up, and encourage chaos. Head didn't have a bullhorn. He didn't go out with the intent to incite riot, and there's no evidence that his actions resulted in any of the destruction that occurred.

I don't see this as a winning tactic for the St. Louis PD in the long run.

There is absolutely nothing about this that would make someone so fucking angry they cant see straight, not a damn thing

And this surely doesnt play into the idea that the authorities and others actually WANT violent riots

Finding scapegoats, laying blame, responding to authoritarian charges by being more authoritarian always helps.

He was wrong but he was pissed at the verdict. Charges will only make the situation worse.

Really? This is what they want to do to 'heal' the community and build bridges with the community?
The police department and the DA was inciting a riot. They kill a man's son, then want to prosecute him for being angry when they gave the cop a get out of jail free card. Amazing.

as far as I am concerned even if they now dont charge him, the very fact that they CONSIDERED it

the fact that they made sure WE ALL KNEW about it

GOD DAMN

I mean really?

Someone somewhere else got mad at me for saying there had to be a limit to all this shit, wanted me to say what that limit was

Not up to me, but if it were, this would sure be close.

They need more protests. And a full investigation of the entire police department. There is a sickness in our police. From sea to shining sea.

i guess that's why they prepared and coordinated and leaked the decision and the timing to the governor and police early and declared a state of emergency, just in case michael brown decided to incite a riot?

... that has just found out that the murderer of their child (step child) will not be charged with his murder.

I don't care what he said in the moments following the announcement. These were cries of anguish

even tho she keep going to see him telling him that she didn't feel right.

I'm certain I sounded like a raging lunatic to him.
And I'm certain that many people lose it when they feel with all their heart that their loved one shouldn't have died.

Going after a grieving parent / step-parent is INSANE!
