Want to figure out how to thwart TSA body scanners?

Why not buy one and experiment to your heart's content.

Why someone is allowed to sell these things in the open market is beyond me. For the very reason in my subject line.

The seller claims that the scanner usually costs the U.S. government $113,000, so why would they let such a valuable piece of equipment go for a mere 7,995? You got me. But it seems to me this kind of sale should be shut down. And I mean immediately.

(The Rapiscan is similar to devices used at airports all over the world to screen passengers for potential threats, including explosives, narcotics, weapons, contraband, ceramics, concealed currency, even liquids.)

Because once Cheney's companies have taken their profit from the public purse, no one cares what happens to the kabuki theatre that goes on at airports.
