President Obama is asking for body cameras for the police.
So they can film themselves using the machine guns, bayonets, bearcats armored vehicles, and other military gear given to our local police by the Obama administration.
His proposal of $250,000,000 investment in body cameras from taser inc. The same company that makes electroshock control devices. Tools which kill people all over the country. This is a massive subsidy for the police-industrial complex.
He could forbid the transfer of military equipment to the police, why hasn't he?
President Obama is fueling the fire of police militarization while pretending to extinguish and contain the results.
Actions speak louder than words.
Why not $250,000,000 for civil rights attorneys or citizen committees to oversee police complaints.
