So, Republicans come out swinging--Torture Report is all LIES

on CBS This morning GOP spokesman tap-dancing all over the semantics with Charlie.

What I want to know is--why did they schedule this guy FIRST instead of a Democrat involved with the study to describe its import?

1. I watched a few minutes of O'Reilly last night

something I never do, but I was curious how they would attack, deny or ignore this report.

It was comical. O'reilly had Sen Dan Coates (a real crazy fucker IIRC) and Billo kept leading, begging, cajoling Coates to say the report was full of lies. But even Coates just couldn't, no matter how Billo would phrase it. Relly made Billo look like the fool he is.

2. wel, they have their talking points straight this morning.

The reporters really went after the guy, and he was pretty lame. Bit I see what they're going to do. The report is going to be called a partisan fiction, and we'll hear very little about it.

3. this morning on NPR theY started a news segment announcing.....

"the torture report, which was released by democrats"......

it was fucking released by THE SENATE.

4. NPR is such a joke anymore.

5. I know, Norah said Democrats about 10 times, so there would be no mistake on who to attack.

7. We really should begin an all out assault on NPR just to spread the truth about them

these days. I still have some " liberal" friends who think it is the old NPR and claim they are "balanced" because they are subtle, such as calling it a Democratic report.

6. Just like their very own Benghazi report, from the GOP-controlled House, was lies . . .

It's as if the very words "lie" and "truth" no longer have meaning.

They've just convenient labels Republicans slap on this or that concept or report or reality - like label-swapping in a creation "science" museum, or a particularly shitty roadside attraction.
