Exclusive: Roger Simmermaker extolls company making housewares since 1819
Published: 7 days ago

Where does a patriotic consumer go when he or she simply wants to buy the best in American housewares and kitchenware products? If you really do want America’s best – no holds barred – the answer is Jacob Bromwell. This amazing American company – Jacob Bromwell – is truly one of our nation’s great American-made success stories, and you can see what makes them so amazing at RogerSaysJB.com.

Jacob Bromwell has the unique distinction of being the oldest housewares and kitchenware manufacturer in all of North America. And it’s a simple fact that they hold this noble distinction of longevity because they are the best at what they do.

Family owned and operated since 1819, everything built into Jacob Bromwell products including steel, stainless steel, tin, aluminum, copper, wood, iron, and leather are all sourced domestically.

With Jacob Bromwell, you might pay a little more than for your normal, run-of-the-mill products that happen to be on the shelves of almost any retail chain, but the quality built into Jacob Bromwell products is well worth the extra cost. And I can honestly say that I speak these words from personal experience since I have ordered Jacob Bromwell products for myself. The quality is simply second to none.

FULL story at link.

$65 for an aluminum "popcorn bowl"? $75 for a tin cup? $200 for a cast iron skillet? $65 for a funnel?

Sure, buying American can cost more, and using union labor would cost still more (though I don't think these guys are unionized) but this company is ridiculous.

I knew this was gonna be silly when I saw the source. It's WND. They also have on their front page a story titled "Obama's Horrific Food Confiscation Plot Exposed".

Roger Simmermaker is the author of How Americans Can Buy American and the award-winning My Company ‘Tis of Thee: 50 Patriotic American Companies American Consumers Should Know About (Axiom Business Book Awards), and writes ‘Buy American Mention of the Week’ articles for wnd.com and his website www.howtobuyamerican.com. Roger has a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, is president of his local Machinists Union, has been a frequent guest on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, and Business Week among many other publications.

I wish he was on a different blog too. I also used to watch John Ratzenberger's Made In America every week even though he is a big Tea Party type too: http://www.tv.com/shows/john-ratzenbergers-made-in-america/

Check out Roger Simmermaker's
"Buy American Mention of the Week"
articles (BAMW) here!

BAMW: True American authenticity in manufacturing from Jacob Bromwell
Using the same authentic materials since 1819, Jacob Bromwell products are made with All-American materials such as tin, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, with the help of elbow grease and some pretty darned old machinery (which works just as well as the day it was built)! By using these materials, Jacob Bromwell products remain 100% authentic from the day they were created.

BAMW: Pentagon funnels billions to foreign factories ignoring Buy American laws
Senator Murphy says that the Pentagon is funding foreign factories to the tune of $160 billion dollars over the last seven years, costing an untold number of American jobs.

BAMW: States skirt past federal Buy American bans
Enactment of more Buy American laws would clearly mean more American jobs, profits, and tax revenue within the borders of the United States. And if you're interested in the furthering the growth of the American economy, that's a good thing.

BAMW: Walgreens avoided the politically-forbidden fruit. Will others?
Corporate tax inversions are the talk of the town these days. When I sat down to write this article, I had planned on slamming Walgreens and Burger King for their corporate inversion, tax-treason trickery plan to abandon America, transfer technical ownership to a foreign country, and leave their domestic corporate competitors (those who have not decided to renounce their U.S. citizenship) holding the tax-bill bag.

Made In USA In High Demand
This is why organizations like the Made in the USA Foundation and activists like Roger Simmermaker, author of How Americans Can Buy American and owner of howtobuyamerican.com, became active in identifying American-made products. "When it comes to buying American, I tell people to start with the smaller items," advises Simmermaker. "I also advocate buying American-made products from American companies, which can be harder than you think. Swiss Miss is American, and Carnation is owned by the Swiss."

Who, What, Where, & Why to Buying American Products from US Companies
In celebration of the 4th of July holiday, Women's Voices Magazine asked Jim Palmer and Roger Simmermaker to share their thoughts, research, and experiences with us. As you will see, buying 'Made in America' is one way to truly support economic independence and national security of the USA in today’s world.

BAMW: Buy American bills fail to invite retaliation from key trading partner
The latest ironclad evidence that Buy American laws do not automatically attract similar buy-domestic laws in other countries can be found within the borders of our immediate neighbors to the North - Canada.

'Made in America' not easy for retailers to deliver on
Wherever you stand on the issue of prices versus patriotism, Florida 'Buy American' advocate Roger Simmermaker said July Fourth is a good time for citizens to take stock about how they are spending their money whether they're going to support jobs in the United States or outside the country. 'We have a Declaration of Independence, not a declaration of interdependence,' said Simmermaker, an author of two books on buying U.S. made products. 'Buying American is about more than just American-made products and U.S. jobs,' he said. 'We're less of an independent country to the extent that we rely on other nations to supply our wants and needs.'

BAMW: I propose a toast to truly American beer
According to the Brewers Association, there are over 2,700 craft breweries in the U.S., many of which serve authentic American-brewed, American-owned beer.

BAMW: All American Coupon Book saves you money on American products
I was delighted to find out that there is a new all-American coupon book that focuses on helping consumer patriots save money on American-made goods while we fulfill the obligation that many of us feel in supporting American jobs and the American economy with our purchases.

And...

Endorsed by President Bill Clinton

America has always been a country of entrepreneurs, builders, and creators. As we work to restore our economy, it is important to stand behind the American companies that make good products, maximize U.S. employment, and earn the loyalty of their workers and the communities of which they're a part. Roger Simmermaker introduces to us fifty companies doing just that, and explains how we can all be part of a strong national recovery.

If you say Roger Simmermaker is a good egg I am inclined to believe you since I don't have any evidence to the contrary. I would bend heaven and earth to avoid having anything I said published at WND, but OK, I can extend this guy a break.

On the other hand the company being discussed in the OP is, I still contend, absurd. There is nothing whatever about the products they are selling which makes them worth even HALF what they are asking for them. They aren't selling products, they are selling branding, they are selling the idea of American Made. The idea that buying a genuine American Made product is such a rare event that it rises to the level of acquiring a museum piece, with costs commensurate to such an activity.

The very idea offends me.
