I saw RACHEL MADDOW today!!!! She gave all of us an autographed book!

It was a 3 hour drive to Kansas City to see her today, and well worth the drive. Rachel is even Wayyyyy more awesome in person than on TV. (Is that even possible??) She never disappoints. Quick, brilliant, witty, ....

It was so much fun to see her today!! It was a 90 minute show.

I will never, ever part with that autographed book.

Her initial respoonse was that she didn't see that as having to endure one of them for 4 hours, but that it would be HER opportunity to grill one of THEM for 4 hours. (The house roared!) She picked Rush Limbagh, because he invented right wing talk radio as we know it today.

12. I saw her last night in Milwaukee

One interesting thing she said was that she doesn't see the struggle to be between liberals and conservatives as much as between those who care and those who don't.

If the person you are discussing issues with doesn't care then there's nothing to be gained by challenging each other. But if the person does care then there can be useful discussion from each other's unique viewpoint.

She said there are valid arguments from conservatives and liberals that contribute to the solution but that when the people don't care then nothing will get done.

And the sponsors presented her with a Harley-Davidson leather jacket at the close. She was quite grateful.

15. Good for you! I'm from Omaha area and Kansas City was as close as she was

going to get for me. Sold out, which is no surprise. I purchased our tickets a month ago as soon as I found out about it.
