The Hill hires Rasmussen's pollster, pretends it's independent

Last edited Mon Apr 23, 2012, 09:07 AM - Edit history (1)

As you may know, every poll on the issues loses impact if it was conducted by conservative hack Scott Rasmussen, because he is...well, a conservative hack. This problem was circumvented today by the "independent" The Hill website, which just came up with a "Romney-loves-women-while-Obama-hates-them" type of poll. This word choice and the poll results struck me as suspicious, so I decided to do research on the pollster. It turns out it's "Pulse Opinion Research," the same pollster whose methodology is designed by......Scott Rasmussen! Twitter and right-wing blogs must be already swarming with "Independent The Hill poll finds..." types of posts, without mentioning the biased source. Rasmussen also attends Republican fundraisers for the GOP often.
