I don't need our President or anyone else's to tell me that making a stupid, ridiculous, childish excuse for comedy, is the last thing I would want to waste time on.
But we do have a large contingency of extremely moronic people with money in this country. Which only goes to show that money doesn't equal intellect.
Watch it, don't watch it, who cares. I would prefer to watch water boiling myself and it has nothing to do with anyone telling me what to do.
Our culture seems to be deteriorating even rapidly than anticipated.
Elevating the discourse seems to be some kind of crime in our current culture. Hopefully we are just going through a phase.

(20,138 posts)Besides, the poster to whom I was responding asked, what if North Korea made a similar movie? The answer is they did and we just laughed...or didn't react at all.

(21,786 posts)it seems to me that a film depicting the assassination of a sitting head of state is something that's pretty much guaranteed to cause a diplomatic incident, at best.

(20,138 posts)Threats weren't issued against Japanese or Korean theaters; they were targeted at AMERICAN theaters.
That's how it became an "AMERICAN issue".

The mindless blind "patriotism" was off the charts across the internet and even here. Its sad to see that the post 9/11 mindset still exists.
