SOS continues in Florida! - Federal Judge Orders Florida Officials to respond to same-sex marriage

case by Monday Dec. 29

Despite the statement/vote by the US Supreme Court that the Florida ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional, officials in Florida continue to try to deny same-sex marriage. It's reminiscent of the hanging chad debacle in the Gore-Bush election where Florida was clueless. SOS over and over again!

The court will likely rule in the next year or two - but for now it is remaining silent. What it has said is that it will not intervene to keep a lower court ruling from going into effect. That is very different from stating/voting that Florida's (or any other state's) ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional.
