1. Artistically very nice. I like the third one most.

The third one is more specific than the first and I like that it specifically mentions an important need for a free society.

In terms of being representative of the reality of these events, I think the first one is a gross oversimplification.

For one thing, the pen is often used in evil ways, like to sign the Patriot Act and Citizens United.

The media, and governments, and the organizations that are really being the scenes, LOVE for us to all think simplistically.

It serves them for us to think in binary, black and white, good-guy bad-guy terms.

It's WAY more complex than that, and this war with Islam, which is probably more a war about territory, resources, and politics that BLAMES Islam, is far from over.

As editorial cartoons go, however, these are effective.
