Lawyer Thanks Don Lemon: Your 'Racist Dumb-Ass Question' Made Me Famous
[font size = 5]

Muslim human rights lawyer Arsalan Iftikhar, who was recently asked by CNN anchor Don Lemon whether he supported the Islamic State terrorist group, published an ironic open letter on Monday thanking Lemon for the "patently offensive racist dumb-ass question."

"Now to be completely honest with you, I totally thought that I had misheard him because surely there was no respectable journalist in the world who would ask a Muslim human rights lawyer whether he supports an organization which violates human rights each and every day," Iftikhar wrote in the Islamic Monthly, where he is a senior editor.

"But then I remembered that I was dealing with Don Lemon," he wrote.

Iftikhar — whose last piece for the magazine before Lemon invited him on was "Let’s Call ISIS The Un-Islamic State," slamming the terror group — wrote that "such an obviously absurd question certainly deserves no response."

...

"It is a sincere honor to be added to the litany of famous 'Malaysian-black-hole-penis-biting' Don Lemon media gaffes which can be added to his audition tape for his next job at FOX News Channel," Iftikhar wrote.

"So from the bottom of my heart," he added, "I want to publicly thank Don Lemon for making me famous with his patently offensive racist dumb-ass question."

were never any riots or clashes with the police during the civil right movement and "obviously, there's a smell of marijuana," I don't think that this guy could get any worse if he tried.

Are people like Lemon and Blitzer this vacuous naturally or is there some sort of lobotomy required before you can go on air as talent on CNN?

asking, let's say Frank Gaffney or Monica Crowley, if they supported Timothy McVeigh's actions in bombing the Murrah Building.

where he answered that the 16% of French Muslims who are reported to support ISIS might support ISIS ideology but not ISIS violence. That may be true.

But based on that answer he very well could support ISIS in that he supports their ideology, but not their violence in which case he could answer yes.

And he didn't answer the question about himself.
