(270 posts)And most of it comes from Hillary supporters. Of course Warren clapped. I was clapping. Obama sounded great tonight. He sounded a lot like her. He sounded like Bernie. I love that he will veto Keystone. I didn't think he would. I love the 1% tax raise. Better than pushing the Bush tax cuts. I love that he's bringing up Gitmo again. I love the veto threats. I love the "I won both" line. I even loved that the White House trolled us with the pic of the tan suit.
The popularity of Warren and the decline of the more conservative Dems in November has helped the Dems return to this kind of talk. I hope we can all be happy about that. I'm proud of the President tonight and I look forward to him fighting for those proposals with Warren and the rest of the party for the rest of 2015.

(84,711 posts)He is our President .....but, we still have a right to disagree with him on some policy issues and to stand our ground with him.
It would be horrific for any Dem to not applaud our President at his SOTU Speech.
