...she looked up from the iPad and within a couple minutes, she asked, "is this the new Sarah Palin?!" Couldn't get over what a moron she is!! Haha.

(12,151 posts)No one could be as dumb as she sounded. That droning, vapid cadence is apparently taught somewhere.
How can she not hear how bad it is though?

(6,440 posts)1) Republicans put spotlight on dim-bulb woman.
2) Everyone says "What a maroon!"
3) Conservative media screams "You're all SEXISTS! You pretend to be feminists, but look at the way you treat conservative women."
It's happened too often to be a coincidence.

Also, is she Suze Orman's sister? They seem very much alike

(24,411 posts)The Republicans learned a great deal from the Palin debacle.
1.) An attractive, conservative woman on the ticket is the only hope they have for generating interest for their old-man, white candidates and archaic policies. Palin was the only reason that McCain's campaign wasn't sunk from the get-go.
2.) Most conservative women--who are just happy as can be about men controlling their bodies and their reproductive choices--aren't too bright. So, it's important to keep them away from media interviews or any situation in which they will have to think for themselves or answer open-ended questions. You must only allow them to speak during highly-stylized and controlled events in which they stay on script.
There's a reason that Joni Ernst, during her Iowa Senate campaign--did not give ONE media interview. She NEVER appeared on television, talking with the media or answering questions. Furthermore, she never went near a camera--just to banter or speak briefly with the media--after her hundreds of speeches in Iowa. There were reporters there, for sure. Her handlers never allowed her near them. She wouldn't even sit down with the Des Moines Register and lay out her policy stances. Not even a newspaper interview!
That's extreme. That's telling you something. She's as dumb (if not dumber) than Palin and they're hiding her flaws for very good reasons. They've got big plans for Ernst.
