Wait till you see your annual letter from your accountant...SIGH

" Due to OBAMACARE more preparation time and additional tax forms will lead to higher preparation fees and automatic extensions unlike any filing season we've seen before"

"Brace yourself, so far this act has created FIVE new IRS forms, complicating the simplest of tax forms"

For reasons I cant go into I cant change accountants right now, but I would if I could.

So fucking sick of this god damn shit.

They take your information and put it into a computer. The system fills out the forms. It isn't more work but you will probably get charged more.

Coincidentally I did them today and they ask two simple questions. Do you have medical insurance and did you have it all year? I picked yes on both and carried on. I owe 1,300 dollars in federal taxes beyond what I paid so even though my taxes are done. I won't file until April. Why let them use my money for free those few months?

and it's all computerized. I sit with him while he puts in the various numbers related to my financial situation, and everything is calculated automatically. I am on Medicare, not affected by the ACA, but I can't see that it should make very much difference at all. Maybe your accountant is simply ripping you off. Maybe you should look into changing accountants.

I've never been sympathetic to affluent people, even when I've been one.

I was raised by artists, my wife was raised by teachers.

If I cared, I could probably shave a lot of money off our taxes.

I hired an aggressive accountant once, but I didn't like him.

It was all legal, but it felt dirty.
