You’re about to walk across the street, moving briskly because it’s so frigid out, trying not to slip on any ice, when all of a sudden you hear a faint cry for help—meow. You look around expecting to see a cat, but the street appears empty, apart from a few cars.

Do you keep walking or take the time to investigate where the source of the noise is coming from?

Luckily for one feline in Indianapolis, someone took the time to investigate.

The Huffington Post reported:

Indianapolis Animal Care and Control (IACC) received a call on Wednesday from the police department about a stray cat that was stuck in a storm drain. When IACC officer Billie Bowling arrived to the scene, he noticed that the situation was more dire than he had expected, as the cat’s paws were also frozen to the concrete.

He got a call of an abandoned dog in a rest stop bathroom. He went to investigate and took the dog home where Charlie the dog (his new name) had a wonderful life for the rest of his years.
