Not very surprising, that a political movement based on anti-intellectualism, fundamentalism and total contempt for empathy would be one gigantic scam generating machine.
1) Mike Huckabee sold out his fans to a quack doctor, conspiracy theorists, and financial fraudsters.
2) Conservative media such as Erick Erickson's RedState, Dick Morris, Newsmax, Townhall, and Human Events have pushed paid promotions for dubious marijuana stocks.
3) Tea party scammers have been aided by media outlets like CNN and Fox News, which, in the words of one of the shady groups in question, have given the tea partiers "great television news coverage" to promote their efforts.
4) Subscribers to CNN analyst Newt Gingrich's email list have received supposed insider information about cancer "cures," the Illuminati, "Obama's 'Secret Mistress,'" a "weird" Social Security "trick," and Fort Knox being "empty."
5) Five conservative outlets promoted a quack doc touting dubious Alzheimer's disease cures.
6) Conservative media sold out their followers to a disgraced financial firm, Stansberry & Associates.
7) Fox News contributor Wayne Rogers acted as a "paid TV spokesperson" for a company pitching reverse mortgages to senior citizens. Fox had previously reported that "there's a lot of evidence" that reverse mortgages are "predatory loans."
8) Tobin Smith, the dubious stock pitchman fired from Fox News.
9) Fox analyst Charles Payne was paid to push now worthless stocks.
10) The Dick Morris/Newsmax super PAC boondoggle.
11) Right-wing media helped "scam PACs" raise money from their readers.

Talk about how ruinous the conservatives are:
Under the last forty years of Democratic/Republican rule, we have seen our customer service and manufacturing jobs go to third world countries. The economy is now totally in the hands of the big Fianncial People. (Thanks Pres. Obama for Mr Geithner's appointment, and for re-appointing Bernanke.)
Endless wars, privatizing of prisons, and now the privatizing of the entire educational system!
Media is totally under the control of the CIA. TV shows offer nothing except glamorization of the rich. Endless TV programming about Housewives this, Bachelorettes that. No longer do we have Ed Murrow, or Cronkite, or even Charles Kuralt-style news casters. We have only CIA people.
And Hollywood itself has been captured in an eternal parade of movies about Navy Seal Teams, and Snipers who are glorified.

Here in the U.S.A. at least, it's become a sign that means, "I may cheat you, especially if you are not one of us, or if you are an especially gullible one of us."
The Christian "conservatives," especially the Republican sort, don't seem to be loving their neighbors as anything more than marks in their con games.
