Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced today that he will not be seeking the partys nomination for the 2016 election, the New York Times reports.
The former Massachusetts governor would have been attempting to become only the second failed presidential candidate to ever win the White House Richard Nixon lost to John F. Kennedy in 1960 before winning the election in 1968.
Romney spent much of 2014 repeatedly insisting that he would not attempt to seek a third nomination as the GOP candidate. Im not running and Im not planning on running, he told supporters in Atlanta in August. Ive got nothing to add to that story.

(15,429 posts)Nobody else in the GOP King Klown Kar has that sort of fund raising chops. Romney was close, but when his 2012 donors jumped ship to Bush, even he was incapable of it.
There are two candidates who will raise the necessary $1 billion admittance fee for the White House on January 20, 2017, Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush. Bush will get a $1 billion assist from Koch PACs, too.

(40,416 posts)There are many, many more clowns available. And they are all lining up to be first out of the car. And they all somehow claim some kind of mandate from God. Amazing, eh?
They do this while simultaneously claiming that President Obama desires to inflict Sharia law on the USA. Of course, they do this while simultaneously arguing that gay rights, equal voting rights, and reproductive rights are somehow against god.
George Carlin once spoke about this kind of religion.
Joe bless you all.
