The Super Bowl could be a Super Incubator for a national measles Viral Epidemic

That would depend on how many, in the hundreds of thousands of local and tourist folks, measles non-immune folks, attend the game and associated festivities, and if they contract measles before or after they leave Glendale and fly to all points of the compass....on packed airplanes.

What if this was Ebola we were talking about and the outbreak was exactly like this outbreak?

The fatality rate for measles is now less than 1%, but the human! economic and medical costs by sheer weight of numbers would be immense.

As a precaution health authorities should be distributing face masks, why are they not at least doing that?

Airborne measles virus is airborne and can linger on surfaces and in the warm air of Glendale Arena and concession and washroom areas for hours....and remain highly infectious.

This could be a Superbowel to remember forever.

Measles is one of the leading causes of death among young children even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available.

In 2013, there were 145 700 measles deaths globally – about 400 deaths every day or 16 deaths every hour.

Measles vaccination resulted in a 75% drop in measles deaths between 2000 and 2013 worldwide.
In 2013, about 84% of the world's children received one dose of measles vaccine by their first birthday through routine health services – up from 73% in 2000.

During 2000-2013, measles vaccination prevented an estimated 15.6 million deaths making measles vaccine one of the best buys in public health.

Surgeon General should have mandated a quarantine on the unvaccinated. Hope not, but suspect massive uptick in cases

Is the Maricopa County health official giving the smiley face thumbs up a credible medical scientist and an epidemiologist?

Measles is Ebola on steroids in terms of infectious transmission.

So there's a potential for a large cluster of stupidity in the stadium.
