By Jennifer Granholm The ghost of {Mitt's} campaign will continue to haunt Jeb Bush

I would vote for Jennifer Granholm in a nanosecond. She used to have a show on Current TV until it was sold. I miss her show.

The Ghost of Mitt Romneys Past
Bummed Mitt Romney isn't running in 2016? Cheer up! Jeb Bush is basically the same guy.

Breaking News: Mitt Romney is not running for president. After weeks of speculation, he made a surprise announcement that he would not seek the presidency for the third time in a row.
Even though Romney may technically be out of the race, he’s not really out. Why? Because Jeb Bush is in, and the two are basically the same.

.....They both supported the bank bailout, but opposed the auto bailout. Romney and Bush both supported the bailout of the banks, but when it came to protecting America’s manufacturing backbone, the automobile companies, neither hesitated to let them go bankrupt. Remember, Romney authored an op-ed in the New York Times titled “ Let Detroit Go Bankrupt.”
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Bush was “in line with Romney,” when he “told the [House Budget] committee he didn't support the auto bailout.” I’m really glad neither of them was in the White House at the time, or else Romney’s wishes might have come true and our automobile industry wouldn’t have made the incredible comeback it has.

They both are out of touch. Bush and Romney are both opposed to many issues that are increasingly popular with the American people. They both oppose marriage equality, even though more than half of Americans support it. They both opposed the Affordable Care Act, which has helped more than 10 million Americans become insured.

On women’s issues, both are stuck in the past. When discussing inequality in the workplace, Romney famously said that he had his team bring him “binders full of women” who were qualified for positions in his cabinet. When Bush was recently asked if he supports the Paycheck Fairness Act to give women equal pay for equal work, he replied, “What is the Paycheck Fairness Act?”
Indeed, a recent Bloomberg report declared, “Jeb Bush has a Mitt Romney problem.”
Romney may not be running, but the ghost of his campaign will continue to haunt Bush.

Me too. Too bad she's Canadian born. Although, if Ted Canadian Cruz can run, why not her? catbyte Feb 2015 #1
