4. Well, all I know is that the only politicians pandering to this stuff are rightwingers.

Hillary, et al on our side have come down solidly on the pro-vac side. They must not think it will hurt them that bad, don't ya think? The anti-vac side must not be that strong on the left.

However, the rightwingers are stumbling all over themselves trying to ride the fence and not piss off any of their base, if not outright coming out as anti-vac.

So, based on my limited knowledge and limited analysis, which side ya think the ant-vac group mostly belongs to?

these positions in equal proportions?

My hypothesis is that it is really the RW's (in majority) that are pushing this anti-vax position...hence the disproportionate # of RW politicians that are equivocating/advocating for the anti-vax position.

Do you agree or disagree?

Read the subthread at post number13.

That gives you the idea of the stereotypical left wing anti-vaxxer. I don't really know which side has more crazy anti-vaxxers. I would like to think the right is crazier in all categories though!

On edit - just read the whole thread.

Archetypical "tea party republican". Was curmudgeoning in usual opinionated way, especially when he drinks. Fashioning my retort to a time period when he was a teen/young adult, I was like:

Without today's advances in medicine?

With those levels of unionization in the workplace?

With those levels of upper bracket taxation?

With the same levels of stigma toward anyone who wasn't a WASP male? ( He's of immigrant parents )

He got all huffy with me of course. When you get down to it, all they want is a a return of everything to 1954....except with smart phones, widescreen TV's and DVR's and big SUVs.
