While I appreciate President Obama

for all that he's done for the Democratic party, when will he make a move for the working class?

True he's done a lot of things but when will the middle and lower class get a break. Yes I see an increase in hiring but how many of those jobs support a working class family? Yes one where both husband and wife need to work to make ends meet. Yes, yes obstructionism, but that flies in the face about all he's accomplished. How do we reconcile that fact that he's pro 1% and corporate but the perfect Democrat. He's done a lot, but not what I need.

I have a child and family to feed, I'm glad everyone has gotten what they need from Obama but I'm still waiting for livable wage jobs that don't disappear in 6 months. I put myself through school for a high tech job that disappeared because of NAFTA and now I'm supposed to be OK with the TPP? I feel like I'm in a hole that gets deeper and deeper. Do we all need to be Finance Gurus, political shills and Robotics masters to survive the future?

I can't be the only one.

Relative to a 5 dollar an hour job? Woo fucking Hoo! Oh , OK then say's the guy still looking for a full time job sans the white collar slavery. You've got it all figured out huh. Just gotta pull myself up by my bootstraps right? Let me know when you ready to deal with reality because that's a nice fairy tale. I'm sure Santa's real too?

He's been doing nothing but talk about the middle class for the past 6 years. His SOTU was all about "middle-class economics."

Of course, you want him to wave his Magic Wand and undo 45 years of stagnating (actually falling, since the buying power has decreased) middle-class incomes, bypassing Congress, and reversing a decades-long trend during an administration that spent its first six years fending off the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression.

If you lost your tech job to NAFTA (really?), you should have been complaining all these years to Clinton and Bush.

Clinton and Bush.

Right because I haven't. But just to be accurate, let's not leave out the Third Way.

"He's been doing nothing but talk about the middle class for the past 6 years. His SOTU was all about "middle-class economics."

Exactly, "talk".

"Of course, you want him to wave his Magic Wand and undo 45 years of stagnating (actually falling, since the buying power has decreased) middle-class incomes, bypassing Congress, and reversing a decades-long trend during an administration that spent its first six years fending off the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression."

Can't forget about the Magic Wand and the Skittles shiting Magical Unicorn Pony I want too.
