Valentine's Day
After extremely long days at work (me-night) we had some 'Mexican' food delivered in from R&R Taqueria -- I gave my wife of over 35 years a small silver locket inside of which I placed tiny photos of our younger, respective selves. It made the predictably wonderful impression I had, of course, hoped it would, not really knowing for certain.
My wife gave me my favorite red pepper-infused chocolate with a card and a poem she had written for me...
I feel like every year. like rings on a tree,
You grow with me.
Together we're strong,
We've loved each other sooooo _ long...
I love you more than you'll ever know!
I played some love songs for a few hours afterward...it snowed a bit today -bitter cold outside. It's mighty warm in here tonight, though...
