Terri Schiavo's husband vows to campaign against Jeb Bush

Jeb Bush was preparing to release the emails he sent and received as Florida governor when he was excoriated by a letter-writer to The Miami Herald.

The headline: "Don't trust Jeb Bush with the power of the presidency."

The subject of many of the emails was Terri Schiavo. The letter-writer was her husband, Michael.

Bush's effort to stop Michael Schiavo from removing his brain-damaged wife's feeding tube was a defining moment of Bush's time in office.

Bush, a devout Catholic, sided with Terri Schiavo's parents in the end-of-life dispute and reached for unprecedented authority to intervene. Michael Schiavo said his wife did not want to be kept alive artificially.

As Bush moves toward a run for president in 2016, Michael Schiavo has reemerged, promising to campaign against Bush and remind voters about the ex-governor's role in the matter.

along with his complete corruption, selling out the whole state to developers among other things.

While I felt very sorry for Schiavo's parents, no parent wants to outlive a child, they clearly had no idea what was going on with their daughter. No one was home any more. They really had to be forced to let her go.

I stand with Michael Schiavo. The greatest gift he gave his wife was unshackling her from a body that no longer worked.

Jeb Bush's role was completely shameful.

The way in which the right--with this Bush at the forefront--used Terri Schiavo's agony as a political football was well beneath despicable.

Because he deserves it and we need it. Peace to him though the sentiment might ring hollow.

I hope the truth of who he fights for comes out during his campaign—like it did with R$.
God I hate these GOP politicians.

I am more than willing to write letter after letter to papers reminding people that he overstepped his authority in the case. I stand with Michael Schaivo.
