Pope Francis compares trans people to nuclear weapons

Head of the Catholic Church claims those who transition are opposing 'God's order of creation'
19 FEBRUARY 2015 | BY JOE MORGAN

The head of the Catholic Church has claimed people who 'manipulate' their bodies are similar to 'Herods' that 'destroy, that plot designs of death, that disfigure the face of man and woman, destroying creation.'

The comments were made in a new book published in Italy, Pope Francis: This Economy Kills, calling on Christians to safeguard God's order of creation.

'Let's think of the nuclear arms, of the possibility to annihilate in a few instants a very high number of human beings,' he says.

This man advocates strongly against the equal rights of specific American minority groups and against specific American laws protecting reproductive choice. He indulges in hateful and denigrating speech about people he wants to oppress and he should not be dragging his ritualized bigotry into the people's Congress. Let him do his show at some church, he owns several fine venues in the DC area, lord knows.

He's said a few sorta nice things, nothing as changed. The pedophile priests are still being protected and paid, victims being dismissed, millions being hidden from them, LGBT and women being made to feel like they are second class citizens.

Nothing has changed.

It's really offensive to LGBT and women.

The people who poo-poo the fact that he and the RCC are harmful, hurtful and dangerous enable their hate.

The Pope complains about more and more criticism of the idea that gender exists in a binary, that there are only two distinct genders, male and female. I don't know, I think that the idea of God only creating two genders would belittle him, they say that God is mighty and powerful, yet he can only count to two?

I should honor God's order of creation by letting him die.

Isn't God supposed to provide spirit as well as body? Shouldn't I honor my spirit before my body, if the two are not in accord??

Yeah, I never bought into Frankie's PR.

I'm still waiting for an update explanation of why it's not selfish for him to be childless but it is for me. Unless there's something he's not telling us about "father" being more than a ceremonial title.

The longer he stays the more we see the true Pope Francis... Although many of us were a bit shady on the whole "gay marriage is the plot of Satan" stuff from before his popification, we were assured that he would change and become more reasonable. How is that working out?
